UNISON WIN £210,000 FOR 43 PARAMEDICS, ARE YOU ONE OF THEM?
43 paramedics who were on either pay point 19 or pay point 20 on the 31st March 2016 will benefit from a fight UNISON Yorkshire Ambulance Branch has been undertaking for over 2 years. Today at a meeting with the Trust the local agreement which was signed off in 2016 allowing Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedics to access the A4C Band 6 pay scale ahead of the national agreement was altered to rectify an injustice we believe had occurred.
The 43 Paramedics who will receive a rectification in their salary are members of staff whom had 3 years of paramedic experience on the 1st April 2016 but had to wait until their next increment date to access band 6.
These members of staff will be moved to pay point 21 as of the 1st April 2016 and will receive the appropriate back pay in January 2019 salary.
UNISON Yorkshire Ambulance Branch are always fighting to ensure that any injustice we see are rectified regardless of the length of time it takes us to achieve this.
UNISON Yorkshire Ambulance Branch would like to thank the members whom brought this issue resolution for their patience and understanding in the time it has taken to resolve but as a branch, as I am sure you are,
We are delighted with this result!
