Des East the UNISON North and East convenor is stepping down from the role that he has done for many years. Des has been an integral part of the Branch, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank Des for all his hard work in supporting members and helping develop and shape the Branch as a whole.
Due to this development there is obviously a vacancy to take over from Des, which will be no easy task, however three individuals have come forward with their expression of interest.
In line with procedure each candidate has written a short statement which you will see in the attachments. Members from the North and East region are able to vote for the individual they wish to take over from Des.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it., it is vital that when emails are received they state the name of the individual you wish to vote for, your membership number (you can get it by phoning unison direct on 08000 857 857 if you are not sure), plus your base station, as only members from north and east can vote for their convenor.
