APPLYING FOR ROLES WITHIN YAS

When applying for ANY role within YAS please ensure (in writing) that your current position will be kept open in case you are unsuccessful in completing the relevant training for the new role.

 

The Trust has terminated the contract of member’s that has been unsuccessful in the ECA training, claiming their previous role no longer exists.

 

UNISON has insisted that ECA training ceases because it is not an agreed role  

 

To potentially dismiss a member who has tried to further their career by saying the original role no longer exists will hinder career progression, and goes against current custom and practice, UNISON will formally raise the issue at the next JSG.

 

We also ask any member who receives a letter stating their role will no longer be available to raise a formal grievance affirming this breaks the current custom and practice agreement and unfair to internal candidates.
