The Paramedic ballot is still open but will be closing at the end of next week; this is your opportunity to have your say.
UNISON Yorkshire Ambulance Branch has been pushing for Paramedics to be placed into band 6 following the correct Agenda for Change process, this process was started way back in 2010, but has been pushed away down the ‘Blocked Process’.
Our faith in this ‘blocked process’ is to say the least minimal; NWAS have been in the blocked process for around ten years! This suggests it is just a mechanism for throwing the whole process into the long grass to be forgotten about.
We cannot let this happen, enough is enough, so please support this ballot and have your say as a UNISON Paramedic member. This ballot is being closely watched nationally, UNISON Yorkshire Ambulance is leading the way so please do not let this opportunity pass you by.
The junior doctors ballot shows how a strong return and ballot result can force the government to sit up and take notice, and return round the table for meaningful discussions.
