The workforce plan consultation period has now ended. Following input from staff and the Trade Unions the Trust is now putting together their final proposals alongside the ORH proposals.
UNISON is concerned that the Workforce Plan currently still includes:
- Reduction in protection for all staff;
- Reduction in Meal Tickets to £5;
- Unclear information on scope of practice, training packages, selection processes, and timescales for new roles.
At the JSG last week the Trust also indicated that the ORH report is likely to include :
- A massive reduction in RRV numbers;
- A massive reduction in 12 hour shifts.
We also know that staff has ongoing issues with:
- Use of Lone Workers;
- Working Out of Area;
- Use of ECAs;
- Use of Relief.
UNISON has not and will not agree any proposals without first consulting members.
There will be members meetings and when the proposals become clearer there will be a formal member’s ballot.
