A&E INDUSTRIAL ACTION UP-DATE
Dear Member,
Due to the Trust refusing to adhere to agreed policies and procedures and not acting upon the member’s mandate UNISON feel they have no choice but to instruct all their A&E members to commence continuous industrial action from 00.01hrs Thursday 21st August. UNISON members will undertake the following forms of industrial action:
· Transport every consenting patient to hospital.
· NO ECA's to work together.
· Ensure that full vehicle checks are carried out in line with policy.
· No stand-by.
· Adhere to original agreements, meal break policy including windows (completed within the 4th and 6th hour), end of shift protection, no enforced staff movement etc.
· No keying 'notify' & 'handover' at hospital.
· Adhere to infection control, clean your vehicle and equipment thoroughly after every job.
· No splitting of crews or removal of staff from RRV's.
· No transporting of patient in RRV’s.
· Disregard recently enforced changes to working practices i.e., the band 5 assessment criteria.
· Adhere to verbal contracts when members are agreeing to come in on overtime.
· The dates and times of other industrial action will follow.
