A&E INDUSTRIAL ACTION UP-DATE

Wednesday’s exceptional ballot result sent a clear message to the trust that UNISON members have had enough. The Branch Committee and Stewards met today to discuss and agree next steps.

The committee and stewards have agreed to instruct the Trust that unless they agree to implement the Workforce Plan and Operational Redesign policies, procedures and agreements, in full, UNISON members will have no alternative but to start industrial action w/c Monday 18th August up to and including a strike.

UNISON is meeting with the Trust on Monday to issue them with the demands highlighted above, once we have their response we will issue a further notification.

In the meantime we would like to reiterate that we are, unlike the trust, far from disappointed at the unprecedented result of the ballot and would like to thank members for their continued support.
