BALLOT UP-DATE

UNISON Yorkshire Ambulance Branch’s industrial action ballot started 7 days ago, we are aware that some members still haven't received ballot papers. Anyone who joins before the 1st of August will still receive a ballot paper (please ring the above number with your membership number), any new joiners after the 1st August will be unable to vote but can take part in any subsequent industrial action.

We have had reports of managers asking members whether they are voting and would they take part in the action, UNISON instructs all members to reply with the answer "enough is enough".

Every day of every week the Trust is breaking agreed policies and procedures, members are not getting breaks at reasonable times, ECAs responding to calls they shouldn't be, private ambulances stealing our work, members working excessive levels of overtime, sickness levels due to stress and other illnesses rocketing, experienced members leaving the service, crews constantly out of area. All these excessive pressures are putting members and the public at risk, if we don't make a stand now it might be too late..........................................enough is enough!
