UNISON Yorkshire Ambulance Branch is requesting members to vote on the Trusts Revised/Latest Operational Redesign Proposals, members can either vote via email to This email address is being protected from spambots. YAS, UNISON office, Administration Centre South, Fairfield, Moorgate road, Rotherham, S60 2BQ, ensuring you state your name and membership number. Any returned ballot paper without these details will be void.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. clearly stating ACCEPT or REJECT and include your name and membership number, there is no necessity to complete the actual ballot form using this method. Please return by 12.00 noon Friday 21st February 2014. Members can use their private or YAS email address to cast their vote.
UNISON Branch Committee was given a number of Mandates by members, following on from those and after the strong results in the initial ballot, UNISON has now successfully negotiated for members the following;
- Exclusive Meal Breaks back on base station with protected run back when out of meal break window
- Commitment by the trust to monitor occurrence of late meal breaks and work in partnership with UNISON to resolve any issues
- No enforced staff movement
- No enforced leave within rota's
- Part time/ Flexible working staff maintained on own rota line
- Commitment to Extra training included in package
- Reinstatement of an Urgent tier
- Maintenance of subsistence payments - Backdated to 20th Jan
- Timescales extended from October 13 to February 14
- Improved and protected relief policy to include dedicated station relief
- Increased staffing levels – Paramedic and ECA
- A solid commitment to better manage end of shift overtime
- Commitment to honour all annual leave already booked
- Commitment to adhere to current annual leave policy
- A guarantee that although rotas are being introduced on the 10th, any problems or on-going issues will be reviewed in order to give members and Trust best fit.
- End of use of Private providers on A&E
UNISON Yorkshire Ambulance Branch Committee has been in negotiations with the Trust since the initial proposals, with its strong voice from its thousands of members throughout the Trust the Branch Committee now believes it has achieved the best negotiated outcome as mandated by members.
