PTS Meal Break Offer.
The trust, in recognising the strong feelings of PTS staff regarding the changes to the meal break and subsistence arrangements, have offered to make a 'one off' payment of £450 to all front line PTS staff, pro rata for those not working full time hours. If members agree to UNISON accepting this offer then there would no longer be any grounds for a legal challenge.
This means that members have the choice of a guaranteed amount or we go ahead with a test case, which we may or may not win. If we are successful then all affected individuals would also be able to make a claim against the trust.
This is a decision that members need to make and as such we will be balloting early next week. This will be by e-mail or by paper ballot in the PRC/Liaison offices.
