Operational Redesign
Dear member,
UNISON Yorkshire Ambulance Branch met with the Trust yesterday and raised members concerns around the Operation redesign proposals. UNISON made it clear that without significant movement what has been put forward would be totally unacceptable to UNISON members.
UNISON has collated member’s issue which included
- Annual leave/relief in the rota
- Members Station Movement
- Change to Meal Break agreement
- Shift Patterns
- Establishment figures
- Lack of Urgent tier
- Changes to Policies/Procedures
- Issues surrounding application of members current flexible working agreements
Please be reminded that the formal consultation period is for members to relay their concerns to the trust and UNISON and for UNISON to feedback and negotiate improvement to the proposals. At the end of the consultation period the final package will be put to members. Some members have suggested that we take some form of industrial action however, it cannot be taken during this formal consultation. If the final package, at the end of the consultation, is unacceptable to members there will then be the opportunity to vote to reject it and take action.
UNISON is meeting with the Trust on Monday 4th and will be arranging area meetings shortly after to relay any movement back to members, please make every effort to attend the meeting. UNISON advises all members not to work on rotas because the proposed levels WILL change so it would be a waste of time.
