Trust Meeting

Dear Member,

After a difficult period, where UNISON had withdrawn from meetings due to the Trust, in UNISON’s view, breaching on numerous occasions, its own agreed policies; UNISON is now in a position to return to the table with management in order to take our members concerns forward.

UNISON has received assurances, in a minuted meeting, that the Trust will adhere to agreed policies, agreements and procedures. Also, importantly, no amendments or changes to policies and procedures will occur without staff side involvement and going through the correct process.

By making this commitment UNISON is assured that any current or future agreements will be upheld and we would hope that this guarantee will be maintained, and noticed by all members going forward.

Should there be any issues where you believe that an agreed policy or procedure hasn’t been followed correctly, please get in touch with your local UNISON representative/convenor or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with as much detail as possible to enable the branch to take the issue up with the relevant management team.

UNISON is meeting with the Trust on Thursday 14th December in order to discuss some issues that have already been raised by UNISON previously, so any member who has an ongoing concern around current policies and procedures should not hesitate to email the UNISON mailbox. As always with as much detail as possible please.

We would also encourage members to get together on stations where the rotas that were implemented in April are not working, or are unworkable, and request a rota review in order to push their cause and put together a better more balanced rota. In order for UNISON to fight for the best results possible for our members, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. UNISON will ensure members are updated with any further developments
